The Big Picture
Project Overview
Key Fire Protection, Inc. served as the fire sprinkler contractor for the IKO facility in Chester, South Carolina, delivering a complete and integrated fire protection solution for the entire site. Our scope encompassed the installation of fire sprinkler systems throughout the facility, providing comprehensive coverage tailored to the operational needs of this large-scale industrial environment.
In addition to the interior systems, Key Fire Protection installed the complete underground fire protection loop, including fire hydrants and all lead-in connections to support and supply the facility’s sprinkler systems. This infrastructure was critical in ensuring reliable water distribution and accessibility for both fire protection systems and emergency response.
To further ensure system reliability and performance, the project also included the installation of dedicated fire protection water storage tank and a diesel fire pump system. These components provide a dependable water supply and pressure, ensuring the facility is fully protected under a wide range of operating conditions.
This project reflects Key Fire Protection, Inc.’s ability to deliver full-scope fire protection solutions—from underground infrastructure to complex sprinkler system installations—while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, safety, and long-term system performance.
